Helen Mae Kelley, 93, of Temple died Tuesday in a Temple Living Center. Private burial will be at a later date. Mrs. Kelley was born January 9, 1923 in Temple to Sherman Brady Pirtle and Lilian Smith Pirtle. She graduated from Temple High School in 1940. She attended Evansville College in Evansville, Indiana. She lived most of her life in Temple and was a member of the Church of Christ. She married Melvin Kelley in 1989. He preceded her in death in 2011. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Kelley was preceded in death by one daughter Lillian Cripe. Survivors include two daughters Bobbye Chlapek and her husband John of Temple and Michelle Rundell of Georgetown; seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Children’s Special Needs Network or to the Charity of Choice. Scanio-Harper Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
