Howard Dean Schulze, 87, of Temple died Tuesday in a Temple hospital. No services are planned. Mr. Schulze was born July 17, 1929 in Buckeye, Texas to Eli and Ima Jean Schulze. He graduated from Odem High School and Southwest Texas. He earned Master’s Degrees in Biology and Counseling. He married Martha Gliddon May 27, 1956. She preceded him in death June 11, 2009. He served in the U.S. Army for twenty eight years, having served in Vietnam. He moved to Temple 25 years ago and taught school at Academy High School. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church.Mr. Schulze was preceded in death by one son Todd Schulze.Survivors include one son Christopher Schulze of Houston. Scanio-Harper Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
