Iris Smith 88, of Temple, died Thursday in a Temple hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 29, 2006 at Memorial Baptist Church with Rev. Roy Parker officiating. Burial will follow at Bellwood Memorial Park. Mrs. Smith was born March 21, 1918 in Bell County, Texas to William and Mattie Drake Buckley. She was a graduate of Academy High School. She married D. J. Smith he died in 1980. She had worked at Scott and White Hospital, Shermans Brace Shop and Weight Watchers. She was a member of Memorial Baptist Church.
