

Funeral services for James H. Ingram, 79, of Temple will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday July 17, 2019 at Immanuel Baptist Church with Rev. Ron Milne officiating. Burial, with Military Honors, will be in Central Texas State Veteran’s Cemetery.
Mr. Ingram was born on June 13, 1940 in Anderson, South Carolina to the late Luther P. Ingram and Lela Mae Fowler Ingram. He attended schools in Apopka, Florida. He married Mary Jenelle Arnold on May 1, 1962 in Macon, Georgia. James enlisted in the US Army and served two tours in Vietnam and one tour in Korea. He was honorably discharged after 20 years of service. He also retired from Wal Mart. Mr. Ingram was a member of New England Heights Baptist Church in Apopka, Florida and attended Immanuel Baptist Church in Temple. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and three sisters.
Survivors include his loving wife of 57 years, Mary Ingram of Temple; daughters, Traci Michelle Atherley and husband Scott of Rowlett, Kimberly Denise Markwood and husband Eric of Temple and Nicole Rene Esquivel and husband Jose of Little River; sisters, Patsy Henderson, Rachel Heidrich, and Annie Ruth Brogan; a brother, Richard “Ricky” Ingram; six grandchildren, Brian Todd Atherley and his wife Brittany, Lindsey Brooke Bell and her husband Jason, Alyssa Fay McCoy and her husband Jacob, Shannon Rae Johnson and her husband Jason, Jordan Marie Esquivel and Jacob Riley Esquivel; five great grandchildren, Andrew Scott Bell, Addisyn Kinsley Atherley, Leif Holden McCoy, Kelsey Grace Johnson and Kylie Faith Johnson and his special dog, Dexter.
Memorials may be given in Mr. Ingram’s name to Wounded Warriors Project or to Paralyzed Veterans Association.
Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday July 16, 2019 at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home.
