James M. (Mike) Hill

James M. (Mike) Hill, age 65, of Troy died Monday, March 8, 2010 in a local hospital. Services will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, March 11, at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home with Rev. Kissa Vaughn officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:30 - 7:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Mr. Hill was born on April 3, 1944 in Temple to James Ocie and Carlee Vonetta (Smith) Hill. He graduated from Temple High School in 1962. He married Sandra Moore on July 12, 1963. He worked for Santa Fe Railroad for over 30 years retiring in 2000. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Troy. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife, Sandra Hill of Troy, one son, James Hill and wife, Tracey of Plano, two daughters, Melissa Przybylski and husband, Jimmy and Melinda Hill and husband, Shawn Bartek both of Belton and four grandchildren, Connor, Cameron, Whitney and Alyssa and three step-grandchildren, Corey, Chance and Lauren. Also surviving are two sisters, Shirley Lewis and husband, Lester of Elizabethton, Tennessee and Patsy Coufal and husband, Robert of Temple. Memorial donations may be made to First United Methodist Church of Troy.
