James P. (Sonny) Flowers, age 71, of Belton died Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at his residence. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, March 3, at Robert Lee Cemetery in Robert Lee. Visitation will be 5:00 - 7:00 PM Friday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home. Mr. Flowers was born May 15, 1940 in Big Spring to Grady Clyde and Faye Powell Flowers. He had been a resident of Belton for the past two years. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy. Survivors include his wife, Sheila Sedillo of Belton, one daughter, Melissa Wilkins of Midland, three brothers, John Flowers of Hobbs, NM, Ronnie Flowers of Kermit and Steve Flowers of Coahoma and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
