
Janie Gloria passed away March 22, 2008 at her home in Rogers surrounded by her family. Mrs. Gloria was born February 20, 1920 and lived the majority of her life in Rogers, where everyone knew her as a Loving, Caring, Spiritual, and a remarkable Strong Mother and Grandmother. Throughout her lifetime she held her family as her main priority and her strength always came from her firm faith in God. Mrs. Gloria is survived by her four sons and two daughters, Tino and wife Angie of Rogers, Alfred and wife Sharon of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Domingo of Rogers, and Cyril and wife Lana of Fort Worth,; Mary Louise Johnson of Cabot, Arkansas and Mary Quintero and husband Jimmy of Round Rock; two sisters, Manula Martinez and Benina Esclante both of Temple; one brother, Ignacio Martinez of Rogers. Janie is also survived by 16 loving grandchildren and 26 beautiful great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Jesse Gloria. Visitation will be at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 25, 2008 with a Rosary starting at 7:00 p.m. at the Scanio-Harper Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Temple with Rev. Tom Chamberlain officiating. Burial will follow at Rogers Cemetery in Rogers, Texas. Pallbearers will be her sons and grandsons. The family gives all their thanks and gratitude to all the Hospice nurses which assisted and guided the family in making mother as comfortable as possible her last days. Special thanks to Dr. Poteet and all the nurses, doctors, and staff at Kings Daughters Hospital and Clinic. Without their excellent care and attention we would not have been blessed to have mom for so many precious years.
