Memorial services for Jarrial W. Andrews, 86, of Temple will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday January 10, 2007 at Scanio Harper Funeral Home with Scott Meyer officiating. Burial will be in Greathouse Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:30 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Tuesday at the Funeral Home. Mr. Andrews died Saturday in a Temple Living Center. Mr. Andrews was born in Saratoga, Texas to Andrew Jackson Andrews and Martha D. Fontno Andrews. He served in the Army during World War II, where he was wounded. He married Elizabeth Carter May 18, 1944 at Camp Butner, North Carolina. He moved to Temple in 1942 and was a member of Western Hills Church of Christ. He played Semi Pro Baseball in Oklahoma and coached Temple Girls Softball. He had worked in rice fields and had worked in oil fields, which were owned by George Bush Sr. He liked to ride bulls and loved ceramics. Survivors include his wife Elizabeth Andrews of Temple.
