Dr. Jerry Ray Baskerville

A visitation for Dr. Baskerville will be held Friday, February 28, 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home, 3110 Airport Rd., Temple, Texas 76504. A Graveside service will occur Saturday, March 1, 2025 at 1:00 PM in the McGregor Cemetery. Burial will follow in the McGregor Cemetery.

Dr. Baskerville after earning his medical degree from the University of Alberta Faculty of Medicine in 1976, dedicated his career to providing skillful care to countless patients. His expertise in both emergency medicine and family medicine made him a cornerstone of the medical community, particularly at Scott & White Medical Center in Temple, Texas. His work with Caduceus Solutions, PLLC, and contributions to medical research further exemplified his lifelong commitment to advancing healthcare.

Beyond his impressive professional accomplishments, Dr. Baskerville was known for his unwavering devotion to strangers in trouble. Whether he was treating a patient in a moment of crisis or mentoring a young physician, his knowledge shone through. His presence had a way of putting people at ease, reminding us all of the profound impact one person can have through service.

To his family, he was an example of hard work and stability.

Dr. Baskerville is survived by his wife Ingrid of 54-years,his two (2) sons, Michael Baskerville and Steven Baskerville, and four (4) grandchildren.

To his colleagues, he was a respected leader and medical professional.

While we mourn his passing, we also celebrate a life well-lived. Additionally, we celebrate that he went to see his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. His dedication to medicine and his steadfast pursuit of excellence will not be forgotten. His legacy will continue through the countless lives he touched, the lessons he imparted, and the example he set.

Dr. Jerry Ray Baskerville's journey on this earth may have come to an end, but his impact remains. May we honor his memory by carrying forward his work ethic, his dedication, and his unwavering commitment to making the world a better place.
