Mr. Black died June 9, 2024 at his residence.
He retired from a concrete company and was a truck driver. He moved to Temple, from Columbus, Ohio in 2002. He married Rosslee Woodruff in 2004. He was a member of First Baptist Church and sang in several Gospel Groups.
Survivors include his wife Rosslee Black of Temple; daughters Vicky Becker and Karen Michael both of Columbus, Ohio; son Robert Black of Columbus, Ohio; step daughter Lisa Polcyn of Temple; step son Daniel Woodruff of New York City, New York, sister Kathy Hysell of Columbus, Ohio and several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Scanio-Harper Funeral Home is charge of arrangements.
