Joe Louis Sefcik

Funeral services for Joe L. Sefcik, 96, of Seaton will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday at Scanio Harper Funeral Home with Rev. Frank Simcik officiating. Burial will be in Seaton Cemetery. Mr. Sefcik died Tuesday in a Temple Nursing Center. Mr. Sefcik was born to Josef F. Sefcik and Frances Dukatnik Sefcik, July 25, 1912 in Seaton. He married Matilda Sefcik October 12, 1937. He lived in Seaton all of his life and was a farmer and a carpenter. He was a member of SPJST Lodge #47 in Seaton and was President of Seaton Cemetery Association from 1955-1993, and was a member of Evangelical Brethren Church in Temple. He was preceded in death by a son James Donald Sefcik in 1957. Survivors include his wife Matilda Sefcik of Seaton; one daughter Nancy Chlapek and her husband Ace of Temple; two grandchildren Timothy Chlapek of Ft. Worth and Paul Chlapek of Tyler and two great grandchildren Taylor Manziel of Tyler and Josef Chlapek of Tyler.
