John F. Knox, age 82, former longtime resident of Carmichael, California died Wednesday, December 5, 2007 in Temple. Services and burial will be held at a later date. Mr. Knox was born May 16, 1925 in Yonkers, New York. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy during World War II. He retired from Pacific Telephone as a fiber optics engineer. He was on the ski patrol for the 1963 Winter Olympics in Squaw Valley, Nevada. Survivors include two daughters, Michelle Fronheiser and husband, Jim of Temple, Darla Pence and husband, Kevin of Carmichael, California and two grandsons, William David and Christopher James Pence.
