John Orland Thompson Jr

Funeral services for John Orland Thompson Jr., 17, of Moffat will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday September 17, 2008 at Scanio Harper Funeral Home with W.J. Hargraves officiating. Burial will be in Pendleton Cemetery. A reception will follow the service at Moffat Community Center. All of John's friends are welcome to come celebrate John's life with his family. Mr. Thompson died Thursday in a Temple hospital. Mr. Thompson was born in Temple June 19, 1991 to John O. Thompson Sr. and Angela Marie Odom Thompson. He lived in the Temple and Moffat area all of his life and was a junior at Belton High School, where he was the junior varsity football quarterback. He attended Trinity Church in Temple. One December 2, 2001 John was baptized. He knew Jesus as his Lord and Savior. John had many mnay friends that loved and respected him. John was a leader and very loyal to his friends. Survivors include his father John O. Thompson Sr. of Temple his mother Angela Marie Thompson of Moffat; two sisters Lindsey Marie Youmans of Temple and Rebecca Kay Thompson of Moffat;one brother Michael Heath Thompson of Temple; his grandparents George and Rita Thompson of Temple,Tom and Dorothy Woods Odom of Springtown and Randy Odom of Fort Worth; his aunts Patty Howard of Bridgeport, Wendy Preece of Troy, Tracy Madewell of Azle and Melissa Billings of Oklahoma; his uncles Amos Odom of Colorado, Trey Woods of Temple and Joe B.
