John W. Huntsinger, Jr.

John W. Huntsinger, Jr., age 75, of Temple died Tuesday, February 20, 2007 in a Temple hospital. Services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, February 24, at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home Chapel with Randall Judd officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be 6 – 8 PM Friday at the funeral home. Mr. Huntsinger was born February 15, 1932 in McLennan County in the Spring Valley community to John W. and Grace Huntsinger. He was a graduate of Lorena High School and Texas A&M University where he received a bachelor's degree in agriculture. He married Beverly Ann Standefer on December 26, 1953 in Waco. She preceded him in death May 2, 1989. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was employed as District Director for the Farmers Home Administration in Temple retiring in 1989. Survivors include three daughters, Donna M. Nowak and husband, John of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Marcia Judd-Cox and husband, Jeff of Hewitt and Carolyn Miller and husband, Karl of Troy. Also surviving are six grandchildren, Hanson, Stephanie and Jacob Nowak, Randall Judd, Angela Rogers and husband, Clay and Justin Miller and two great grandchildren, Andrew and Tyler. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
