Rogelio Rivera, age 82, of Temple died Monday, April 23, 2012 in a local hospital. Services will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, April 26, at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Bellwood Memorial Park. Visitation will be 6:00 - 8:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Mr. Rivera was born January 6, 1930 in El Salvador to Martil Rivera and Bersabe Menjivar. He had been a resident of Temple for the past 10 years. He was a farmer for many years. Survivors include his wife, Maria Rivera of Temple, five sons, Rogelio Rivera of Dallas, Hernan Rivera of Waxahachie, Jose Geremias Rivera of Georgetown, Jonas Rivera and Neftali Rivera of Temple and two daughters, Bersabe Rivera Chicas of Indio, California and Carmen Menjivar of Austin, 22 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Also surviving are four half brothers, Adrian Rivera and Antonio Rivera both of El Salvador, Eduardo Rivera and Atilio Rivera both of Mexico and one half sister, Soila Rivera of Mexico.
