Josephine was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose life was marked by hard work, faith, and a love for family and community. She worked as the secretary for Psencik Construction, the company her husband, Lee Roy Psencik, founded in 1965, and continued helping with the business until his passing in 1985. With an entrepreneurial spirit, Josephine later founded The Body Resort, an all-women’s fitness facility in Temple. She also worked in the office at Temple Bible Church and faithfully volunteered with Helping Hands Ministry, serving others in her community.
Josephine enjoyed cheering on the Temple Wildcats and the Dallas Cowboys, and she especially loved spending time in Rockport, Texas, taking in the sights and sounds of the coast. Above all, she cherished time spent with her children, grandchildren, and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Lee Roy Psencik and Steve Wilhelm; and by her parents, Jerome and Della Bartek Green of Zabcikville, Texas.
Josephine is survived by her children, Michele (Gordon) Schoppe and Michael (Cari) Psencik; her grandchildren, Macy Psencik, Noel Psencik and Sarah Schoppe; her stepchildren, Shelly (Keith) Humbert and Christie (Joe) Lovelace and their families; and her siblings, Henrietta Miller, Florence Mikeska, Corene Madeley, Marvin Green, and Charles Green, along with their families.
Josephine will be remembered for her dedication to her family, her strong work ethic, and the warmth and kindness she shared with those around her. Her legacy lives on in the many lives she touched.
