Funeral services for Josephine Anna Simek, 95, of Zabcikville will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday at Ocker Brethren Church with Rev. Ron Winsman officiating. Burial will be in Ocker Cemetery. Mrs. Simek died Tuesday in a Temple Living Center. Mrs. Simek was born November 29, 1915 in Zabcikville to Joseph Beran and Anna Bubela Beran. She graduated from Rosebud High School. She married Jerry W. Simek. He preceded her in death. She was a Quality Control Supervisor for Haywood Manufacturing and had worked for the Seaton School Cafeteria. She was a member of SPJST at Cyclone and was a member of Ocker Brethren Church. She lived in the Zabcikville area all of her life. Survivors include one son Jon Simek and his wife Brenda of Temple; two grandsons Jon W. Simek and Jason Green and one great granddaughter Morgan A. Simek. Memorials may be made to Ocker Christian Sisters or to Ocker Brethren Church. Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Thursday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home.
