Judy Furl Barr, age 87 of Temple, died Monday, August 21, 2017 in a local hospital. A graveside service will be 10:00 AM Friday, August 25th at Bellwood Memorial Park with Rev. Jakie Shirley officiating. Mrs. Barr was born March 28, 1930 in Moffat to W. C. Owens and Clara Wagner Owens. She graduated from Temple High School and attended beauty school in Waco. She worked as a beautician in Temple for many years and was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. She married James Curtis Furl on October 8, 1962. He preceded her in death on July 28, 1997. She married Cleo D. Barr on October 22, 2002. He preceded her in death on August 31, 2005. She was also preceded in death by her parents, sister, Mary Benskin and niece, Brenda Leigh King. Survivors include two nephews, David L. King of Belton and Steve Benskin of Temple, one great-niece, Desiree Caufield of Austin and one great-nephew, Joshua Louis King of Belton. Memorial donations may be made to Immanuel Baptist Church.
