Karen Lou Forbes

Karen was born on March 10, 1960, in San Antonio, Texas, to Robert Tildon Boop and Velma Irene Boop.

On March 20, 1982, she married Mark Stephen Forbes, who preceded her in death.

Karen had a joyful passion for collecting seashells and made several trips each year to Florida, especially Sanibel Island, where she loved walking the beaches in search of the perfect shells. She also loved her cats dearly, finding comfort and companionship in them.

Karen is survived by her son, Kelly Anderson and his significant other, Daniele Garland, of Queen City, Texas; her daughter, Elizabeth Michelle Marsden and her spouse, Keeran, of Sheffield, England; and her beloved grandchildren, Persephone Marsden, Katarina Marsden, Marshall McClure, and Waylon McClure, who brought her immense pride and happiness. She is also survived by her sister, Cathy Boniface and husband Damon, of Moffat, Texas, along with many cherished nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Mark Stephen Forbes; her sister, Caroline Dee Boop; and her parents, Robert and Velma Boop.

A private graveside service will be held at Moffat Cemetery in Moffat, Texas.

Karen will be remembered for her gentle heart, her love of family, and the simple joys that made her life beautiful.
