Larissa was a vibrant soul, known for the joy and laughter she brought into every room. Her playful nature, radiant smile, and love for life’s simple pleasures left a lasting impression on everyone who had the honor of knowing her.
Born with challenges including cerebral palsy, Larissa faced her life with unwavering strength and grace. But she never let her diagnosis define her. Instead, she embraced life with open arms and an open heart, reminding us all that joy is not the absence of struggle but the courage to rise above it.
She was a light—bold, bright, and brilliant. Her presence was magnetic, and her spirit unshakable. Whether she was giggling with her family, enjoying music, or simply soaking in a quiet moment, Larissa lived with a deep appreciation for the now. Her life was a testament to perseverance, positivity, and the power of love.
She is lovingly survived by her parents, Don and Cheryl Mayfield; her sister, April Mayfield-Little, and spouse, Jason Little; her cherished nieces, Chloe Mayfield and Isabella Mayfield; and her nephew, Shawn Hicks.
Larissa was preceded in death by her grandparents, C.O. and Aileen Mayfield, and Edwin and Frances Villines; her aunt, Linda Taylor Mitchell; and her uncles, Eugene Taylor and Eddie Gotcher.
A visitation will take place on Friday, April 25, 2025 from 6:00pm – 7:30pm at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home in Temple.
A memorial service celebrating Larissa’s life will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. at Chalice Church, Disciples of Christ (former First Christian Church). Located at 300 North 5th Temple, Texas.
