LaVerne Taylor

Funeral services for LaVerne E. Taylor, 63, of Rogers will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday August 13, 2007 at Salem Lutheran Church with Rev. Gnana Segaran officiating assisted by Rev. Will Passmore. Burial will be in Salem Lutheran Cemetery. Mrs. Taylor died Friday, August 10, 2007 at her home after a lengthy battle with ovarian cancer. Mrs. Taylor was born June 20, 1944 in Cameron to Laddis John Shiller and Ella Lange Shiller. She lived in Rogers all of her life and graduated from Rogers High School in 1961. She married Bonnie Taylor August 31, 1963. She worked as an administrative assistant at Scott and White Ophthalmology for thirty-seven years. She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church where she was active in the Altar Guild and taught Vacation Bible School and was a volunteer for the American Cancer Society. Survivors include her husband, Bonnie Taylor of Rogers; two daughters, Laurie Herzer and husband, Dean of Rogers and Melanie Taylor of Denver, Colorado and two grandchildren, Zachary and Rachel Herzer. Memorials may be made to Scott & White Eye Institute or to Scott & White Cancer Center. Visitation will be from 4 P.M. to 6 P.M. Sunday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home.
