Leroy Alvin Goeke

Leroy graduated from Rogers High School and was in the Texas National Guard for 7 years.

Leroy married Shirley Ann Hrozek in Salem Lutheran Church in Barclay, Texas.

Leroy was a member of First Lutheran Church in Temple and served on numerous church committees.

He worked in sales for Chupik Corporation, retiring in 1997 after 46 dedicated years of service. Known for his steady work ethic, Leroy built a career marked by loyalty and integrity.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Shirley Ann; his brother, Raymond Goeke and wife Joyce; and his sisters, Irene Sitz and husband Alvin, and Velma Lucas and husband John.

Leroy is survived by his children; daughter, Sherry Goeke; daughter Connie Hooten and husband Larry; son Randy Goeke and wife Shanna; and daughter Donna Wolf and husband Duncan. He was blessed with 13 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Monday, July 7, 2025, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be Tuesday, July 8, 2025, 11:00 AM at First Lutheran Church in Temple with the Rev. Janice Krause officiating. Burial will follow at Bellwood Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons; Brian Button, Chris Button, Wes Button, Lance Goeke, Dustin Goeke, Garrett Wolf, Cody Wolf and Derek Hooten.

Leroy will be remembered for his enduring love of family, faithful spirit, and the legacy of dedication and kindness he leaves behind.
