Lindsey Mae Case age 27 of Little River passed from this life during her sleep at her home on Tuesday, January 16, 2018. A celebration of her life will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Northside Church of Christ in Temple, Texas. A visitation will take place on Friday, January 19, 2018 from 5 pm– 7 pm at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home in Temple. Lindsey was born on October 6, 1990 in Temple to Dan and Linda Case of Little River. She attended school in the Academy Independent School District, graduating from Academy High School in 2009. During her high school career she was in the varsity band. She was also “Baxter” the Academy mascot; enduring Texas weather in that hot costume. She was heavily involved in UIL One Act Play. After high school, Lindsey furthered her education graduating from the University of North Texas in Denton in August of 2013 with a BA in Radio, Television and Film. While at UNT she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma. After college she worked as an editor at KCEN-TV, an executive assistant at Walker Honey Company and in education. Lindsey was a beautiful, unique and vivacious young woman. She was an independent thinker who was well read and held strong opinions on matters that were important to her. If you wanted to discuss the merits of a particular issue, you were wise to have your facts straight because she was going to be well informed. Lindsey’s passions included theater, movies, arts, music, and books. She loved Broadway productions and through the years attended many in New York City. She owned an extensive collection of movies and could dissect a plot and discover all of the nuances of the story allowing for a greater appreciation of the message. She loved peanut butter and banana sandwiches, and could craft one with the precision of a Swiss watch. Her greatest passion was her family. She was a devoted daughter, loving sister, great sister in law, precious granddaughter, practical niece and awesomely fun aunt to Hadley and Hannah. She and Hadley called each other “Best Friend.” She was an old soul with the ability to dispense sage advise with a wisdom and insight far beyond her years. Lindsey was a Christian, having been baptized into Jesus Christ by her father on November 20, 2005. Lindsey was preceded in death by grandparents Lois Ann Russell (Meme), Dolores Case (Memaw) and Gordon Case (Poppa). Left to cherish her memory and celebrate her life are her parents, her sister Krystan Ann (Case) Hunt and husband Jared and their daughters Hadley and Hannah of Fayetteville, Arkansas; uncle Brad Russell and partner Phil Krawczynski of Belton; aunt Debbie (Case) Robbins and husband Kirk of Milton, Georgia; cousins Casey & Hayley Wharton also of Milton; grandfather Thomas Russell of Little River; and many, many friends who all know of her loyal and accepting nature which is her continuing gift to each of you. An alternative to flowers would be a donation in Lindsey’s honor to the Academy High School One Act Play fund. We love you Lindsey! This is far from over! We haven’t seen the last of you! The curtain may have closed on your earthly life, but your show will always go on!
