Lola Penny Hoover, 82 of Belton died Friday November 24, 2006 in a Temple Hospital. Graveside services for Mrs. Hoover will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday November 29, 2006 at Moffat Cemetery with Rev. Roy Parker officiating. She was born September 16, 1924 in the Tennessee Valley Community near Belton the daughter of Alex and Martha Penny. She attended the Tennessee Valley School. She married Jack Hoover of Mount Holly, N.C. September 28, 1944. The couple lived in North Carolina before moving back to Texas in 1980. She was preceded in death by her husband and a son Ronald as well as seven brothers and sisters. She is survived by a daughter Ariel Hoover of Maynard, MA. and a sister Edna Bridges of Temple, 2 grandchildren and a great grandson. Memorials may be made to the Bridges-Penny Endowed Scholarship at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor or Memorial Baptist Church, 6161 South 5th Street Temple, Texas 76502.
