
Louis R. (Pete) Pindle, Jr., age 58, of Temple died Friday, December 1, 2006 in a local hospital. Services will be held at 12 noon, Thursday, December 7, at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ernest Thompson officiating. Burial will be at 2:00 PM at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery with military honors. Visitation will be 10:00 11:30 AM Thursday at the funeral home. Mr. Pindle was born June 24, 1948 in Buffalo, New York to Louis Raymond Pindle, Sr. and Shirley Reynolds Pindle. He was reared and educated in McGregor. He graduated from McGregor High School and attended Southwest Texas State College in San Marcos. He joined the U. S. Air Force in June, 1969 and served in Vietnam being stationed in DaNang. He was honorably discharged in December, 1970. He was a member of the VFW and the American Legion. He was an avid outdoorsman and fisherman. Survivors include his mother, Shirley Burnett and husband, Rick of McGregor, two daughters, Crystal Harden and husband, Mark of Cypress, Lacy Pindle of Fort Worth and two granddaughters, Kenley and Hayla Harden. Also surviving are two sisters, Donna Burnett of Crawford, Susan Spivey of Austin and one brother, Chip Burnett of Eddy.
