

Louise Hunter Price, 91, of Temple, Texas joined her loved ones in Heaven on January 2, 2014. Visitation with the family will be held at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home on Friday, January 10th from 5:00-7:00PM. The funeral service will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, January 11th at the First Presbyterian Church in Temple, Texas with Rev. Dr. Ken Ritchie officiating. A private burial will follow late afternoon at I00F Cemetery in Georgetown, Texas. Louise was born on October 15, 1922 in Uvalde, Texas to Clarence Sumner Hunter and Lenora Love Hunter. She graduated from Uvalde High School and attended Mary Baldwin College in Staunton, Virginia and the University of Texas. Louise was married to Charles Byron Price on October 30, 1946 in Uvalde, Texas at St. Phillip's Episcopal Church. She and Charles moved to Temple, Texas in 1947 to begin his dental practice. Louise was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church since 1948 and served in many positions. She served as President of the Women of the Church, Youth Group leader, on the Session and cooking for Meals on Wheels. Louise is survived by her daughter, Ann Price Reynolds; her granddaughters, Jenny Elizabeth Reynolds, Amanda Price Reynolds, Meredith Vrba Sisoian; her grandson, Matthew Vrba; and her twin great-grandchildren Julianna Katherine and Jackson Price Sisoian. Louise is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Dr. Charles B. Price, her daughter, Jana Price Vrba; and her brother, C. Sumner Hunter. Honorary pallbearers are Keifer Marshall, Jr., Mike Mullins, Bob Mullins, Patrick Mullins, Jerry Secrest, Robert Secrest, Mark Erskine and Bill Chamlee. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to First Presbyterian Church at 12 West French Ave, Temple, Texas 76501.
