Louise (Memaw) Sims, age 90 of Temple formerly of Killeen, died Saturday, February 6, 2016 in a local hospital. Services will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday, February 11th at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home with Rev. Loyd Hall officiating. Visitation will be 2:00 – 3:00 PM prior to the service. Mrs. Sims was born October 1, 1925 in Killeen to Henry Clay Dockray and Minnie Lee Nobles Dockray. She was a graduate of Killeen High School. She married Haskell Sims in 1954 in Killeen. She had lived in Temple for the past five years and was a longtime resident of Killeen. She enjoyed bowling, painting and playing Bingo.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers, Dennie, Ellis and Roy Dockray and sister, Maye Ross. Survivors include her daughter, Alice Sims of Temple, two grandchildren, Jennifer Sims Griffith and husband, Chris of Mansfield and Jason Lamb and wife, Chrystal of Belleville, Illinois and two great-grandsons, Camden and Toby. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.Memorial donations may be made to American Legion Post #133.
