Lt. Col. James M. Brown, Jr. USAF Ret., age 83 of Temple, died Monday, April 22, 2013 in a local hospital. Services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, April 27 at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home with Dr. Ron Milne officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Bellwood Memorial Park. Visitation will be 6:00 - 8:00 PM Friday, April 26 at the funeral home. Mr. Brown was born to James M. Brown, Sr. and Minnie Lawrence Brown, on September 8, 1929 in Weatherford. He married Ethel Jean Pate on December 15, 1951 in Conroe. He served in the United States Air Force 21 years, 7 months and 10 days retiring in 1974. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife, Ethel Jean Brown of Temple; daughter, Sheryl Ann Brown-Feuge and husband, Danny N. Feuge, one granddaughter, Kathryn Rachel Feuge all of Dawson; sister-in-law, Esther Jo Johnson of Victoria and numerous nieces and nephews and many friends.
