Lucille Stone Davis

Lucille Stone Davis, age 83 of Temple, died Tuesday, June 26, 2018 in a local care center.  A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, June 30th at North Belton Cemetery with Rev. Albert Gregg officiating.  Visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 PM Friday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home.Mrs. Davis was born September 5, 1934 in Wharton to W. I. Baird and Lillie Mae Wiltrout Baird.  She had been a resident of Temple most of her life.  She married Billy Joe Stone, Sr. in 1949.  He preceded her in death March 18, 1978.  She married James H. Davis on September 3, 1984.  She retired as a staff manager at American National Insurance in Temple.  She was a member of College Heights Baptist Church in Temple.

She was also preceded in death by her parents and brother, W. I. Baird, Jr.  Survivors include her husband, James H. Davis of Temple, two sons, Billy J. Stone of Jarrell and James H. Davis III and wife, Vickie of Mansfield and two daughters, Brenda Benner and husband, Robert of Gatesville and Beverly Stone of Troy, six grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
