

Lynda Sue Caldwell, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully at her home in Belton, Texas, on October 7, 2026. She was surrounded by the love and memories of those who meant the most to her.
Lynda was born in Bartlett, Texas, on September 29, 1941 to Lynn Wallace “Link” Brock and Katherine (Brown) Brock. On November 11, 1961, Lynda married the love of her life, James Caldwell, in Bartlett, beginning a marriage filled with love, devotion, and shared memories that would span more than six decades.
Family was at the center of Lynda’s life. She found her greatest joy in the people she loved and took pride in watching her family grow through the years. She was a devoted wife and mother, a loving grandmother, and a special presence in the lives of those who were fortunate enough to know her. Her kindness, gentle spirit, and unconditional love will be deeply missed.
Lynda was preceded in death by her beloved son, Gary Caldwell; her parents, Lynn Wallace “Link” Brock and Katherine (Brown) Brock; and her infant sister, Delores Nell Brock.
She leaves behind her loving husband, James Caldwell of Belton; her son, David Caldwell and wife Gayle of Bartlett; two cherished granddaughters; and Whitney Martin of Temple, who was dear to Lynda and loved like a daughter. She also leaves behind countless memories that will remain in the hearts of her family and all who knew and loved her.
She will be deeply loved, forever remembered, and greatly missed.
A graveside service honoring Lynda’s life will be held at a later date at Bartlett City Cemetery in Bartlett, Texas.
