Madlyn Hellen Fairbanks

Madlyn Hellen Yost Fairbanks, born April 15, 1945, to Fredrick John and Lillian Mae (Laktosh) Yost in Barnesboro, Pennsylvania passed away on January 13, 2026, at the age of 80. Her formative years were spent in Indiana, Pa. and then several years in New Jersey.

She moved to Temple in 1974.

Madlyn was a faithful and generous individual, known for her unwavering commitment to her beliefs and her willingness to help others. She was a mother and homemaker most of her life and retired from Kings Daughters Hospital where she was a courier.

She was an accomplished artist and her best companion was Dakota, her Malinois german shepherd.

Madlyn is survived by her children; 2-daughters, Diane Fairbanks and Ruthann Knox; son, Frederick John Fairbanks; 8-grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Thomas Fairbanks; son, Russell Thomas Fairbanks, Jr.; daughter, Lesa Murray; brother, Fred Yost and sister Faith McDonald.

A resident of Little River Academy, Texas, Madlyn's presence will be missed deeply by all who knew her.
