Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday at St. Mary Catholic Church with Father Ranjan Cletus officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Mrs. Matl died Thursday in a Temple Hospital. Mrs. Matl was born September 13, 1917 in Temple to William James Temple and Margaret Wilson Temple. She lived in Temple most of her life except for a short while that she lived in Crockett. She graduated from Crockett High School. She married Jerry Matl, Sr. January 26, 1952. He preceded her in death June 23, 1986. She worked at Camp Hood and Lone Star Gas and was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, St. Mary Altar Society and KJTZ. Mrs. Matl was preceded in death by one son James Matl. Survivors include her son Jerry Matl, Jr. and his wife Cindy of Temple; two grandchildren Brent Matl and Michelle Matl Sims and one great grandchild Cole Sims. Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. with Rosary being recited at 7:00 P.M. Monday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home.
