Mass of Christian Burial for Margarita Abigail Chavez, 78, of Moody, will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Melesio Peter Espinosa officiating. Burial will be in Bellwood Memorial Park. Mrs. Chavez died Wednesday in a Temple Hospital. Mrs. Chavez was born in Zacatecas, Mexico to Jose Pedro Salas and Josefa Padilla Salas. She married Pedro Chavez in 1976. He preceded her in death May, 1995. She was a homemaker and moved to Moody, thirty five years ago, from Mexico. Survivors include three sons Enrique Chavarria and Jose Pedro Chavarria, both of Moody,and Juan Lopez of Dallas, five daughters Rosario Segura, Yolanda Rodriquez, Leticia Chavarria and Bertha Martinez all of Moody and Maria Vanhoof of Austin; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Rosary will be recited at 8:00 P.M. Sunday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Scanio-Harper Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
