Marjorie (Ms.B) Boniface Balz

Funeral services for Marjorie (Ms. B) Boniface Balz, 96, of Temple will be held at 10:30 A.M. Friday, for the family, at First Lutheran Church with Rev. Rusty Campbell officiating.  Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.

Ms. Balz died Tuesday at her residence.

Ms. Balz was born in Kansas City, Missouri to Dennis Nance and Betty Lou Debo Nance.  She graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School and later graduated from University of Mary Hardin Baylor with a Master’s Degree.  She moved to Temple, from Dallas, in 1948.  She was a member of First Lutheran Church.  She worked for MHMR. She was a member of ARC, where she organized Fun Night, and the Thursday Club.

Ms. Balz was preceded in death by her husband Merwin Balz and one son Jimmy Boniface.

Survivors include one daughter Debbie Owens of Salado; two sons Dennis Boniface Sr. of Temple and Michael Boniface of Temple; thirteen grandchildren Angie McBride, Susie Tuerck, Damon Boniface, Paula Lewis, Michelle Pierce, Dennis Boniface, Jr., Amy Dague, Allison Tyler, Jennifer Kirchmeier, Robin Boniface, Amanda Richter, Lesia Capps and Jeremy Farr; thirty great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorials to ARC of Bell County, P.O Box 811 Temple, TX 76503 would be appreciated.

Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home.
