Marjorie Hazel Harbert

Memorial services for Marjorie Hazel Harbert, 80, of Temple will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday December 8, 2012, at Scanio-Harper Home with Rev. Ron Milne officiating. Mrs. Harbert died Monday November 11, 2012 in a Temple Hospital. Mrs. Harbert was born November 15, 1931 in Plainsville, Pennsylvania to Richard Ayre and Marjorie White Ayre. She received a degree from Bloomsburg University in Pennsylvania and was a school teacher in Arabia, England and in Jasper, Texas. She married John Harley Harbert December 26, 1964 in Beirut, Lebanon. He preceded her in death August 11, 2004. She moved to Temple in1993. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church, where she was active in Bible Studies and teaching. She was a member of Eastern Star and was a volunteer at Weston Inn. Survivors include one son John Mitchell Harbert of Marble Falls; two daughters Janet Sterling of Bakersfield, California and Jennifer Harms of Arlington, Washington; one sister Winifred Lawrence of Winter Haven, Florida; three grandchildren and four great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers Memorials may be made to Immanuel Baptist Church.
