At an early age, Marvin was a natural athlete who excelled in several sports. He enjoyed all forms of competition and pursued them with passion. He played high school football, won state in bowling, participated in a minor softball league, and continued playing on a winning church softball team into his forties. He also competed nationally in powerlifting. He was also an avid golfer and found great joy in the game.
After high school, Marvin joined the Army National Guard, first serving in South Dakota and later in Texas. In his early working years, he traveled across the United States helping construct nuclear power plants. A true master of all trades, Marvin was a certified electrician and a licensed irrigationist, among many other skills.
Marvin later established and owned U.S. Lawns and Landscape, which he proudly operated for nearly thirty years.
Driven daily to be a good and faithful servant, Marvin used his God-given talents to serve others to the fullest extent. He was a strong, wise, warm-hearted, and fearless man—a true “prince of a man”—who loved deeply.
Although he will be missed terribly, we find comfort in knowing that Marvin is resting in eternal peace in his heavenly home, rejoicing in the loving embrace of our Lord and Savior. His circle of love is now complete.
Marvin leaves behind his wife, children, grandchild, extended family, numerous friends, and his beloved canine companion, Kingston, also known as “Biter.”
In honor of Marvin’s memory, in lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to a charity of your choice.
