

Mary was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Roland Cox; her son, Bobby Glen Cox; and her sisters, Elizabeth Ann Bradley and Willie Mae Hill.
She leaves behind a loving family to cherish her memory, including her children, Johnny Lee Cox, Billy Joe Cox, and Mary Ann Gober. She was also blessed with 48 grandchildren and great-grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in her heart.
Mary's greatest joy in life was her family. She loved her children and grandchildren unconditionally and was the heart of the family, bringing everyone together through her love, strength, and unwavering devotion. Her home was a place of warmth, laughter, and togetherness, and she created countless cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
In addition to her love for family, Mary found happiness in music and gardening. Whether tending to her flowers or enjoying her favorite songs, she appreciated life's simple blessings and shared that joy with those around her.
A memorial service celebrating Mary's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, July 19, 2026, at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home.
Mary Louise Cox will be remembered for the love she gave so freely, the family she held together, and the lasting legacy of kindness, compassion, and devotion she leaves behind.
