Mary Elizabeth Morris, age 93 of Temple, died Tuesday, June 3, 2014 in a local care center. A public viewing will be 8:00 AM - 9:00 PM Saturday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home. Private entombment will be at Bellwood Memorial Park Mausoleum. Mrs. Morris was born August 21, 1920 in Bell County to T. G. and Ella Jones Russell. She graduated from high school at Oenaville. She married Hallie Joe Morris on June 9, 1940. He preceded her in death on January 2, 2000. She was a proud and wonderful homemaker, raising four sons. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, Jimmy Morris and sister, Eula Mae Russell. Survivors include three sons, Larry Morris and wife, Rose, Ken Morris and wife, Terri and Randy Morris and wife, Sharon all of Temple, daughter-in-law, Penny Morris of Needville, nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister, Thelma Carter of Temple and a brother, Tom Russell of Little River-Academy.
