Mary Haynie McLaughlin, age 83, of Temple died Monday, March 17, 2008 in a local nursing home. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, March 20, at Bellwood Memorial Park with Dr. Thomas Allen officiating. Visitation will be 6:00 8:00 PM Wednesday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home. Mrs. McLaughlin was born March 19, 1924 in Crockett to Garfey Broox and Lillie (Patterson) Hill. She was reared and educated in Waco and had been a longtime resident of Temple. She was manager of Prescription Lab Pharmacy at Medical Arts Clinic for 27 years retiring in 1986. She was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church and SPJST Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by husbands, R. R. Haynie and F. W. McLaughlin, son, James Michael Haynie and brothers, Herbert B. and Lindsey Lee Hill. Survivors include her daughter, Ann Griffith of Temple and her granddaughter, Jennifer Griffith of Plano. Memorials may be made to Grace Presbyterian Church.
