

Funeral services for Mary Ida Rose Vasek, 66, of Rogers will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday at Ocker Brethren Church with Mark Sebek officiating. Burial will be in Ocker Brethren Church Cemetery. Mrs. Vasek died Saturday at her residence. Mrs. Vasek was born July 2, 1951 in Texas City, Texas to Vernon B. Rose and Betty Jean Pierce Rose. She was adopted and raised by William Rose and Annie Turner Rose. She lived in the Joe Lee Community and Rogers all of her life. She attended Rogers High School. She married Larry Vasek February 14, 1982. She was a self employed picture framer and worked as a bookkeeper. She was a member of SPJST at Seaton. She was a member of Ocker Brethren Church where she was the Nursery Leader and was a volunteer at Hus School Encampment at Caldwell. Mrs. Vasek was preceded in death by her parents and adopted parents and one grandson Brandon Petty. Survivors include her husband Larry Vasek of Rogers, one daughter Tracy Chance and her husband Jimmy of Rogers; two sons Charles Gross of Rogers and David Hammons of Benbrook; two brothers Vernon Rose and his wife Margie of Rogers and Eran Jones of Sweeny; two sisters Janet Weiss of Arlington and Melonie Millwood of Arkansas; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Friday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home.
