Mary Jo Sparks, age 87, of Temple passed away on Friday, December 4, 2015 at a local care center. No services are planned at this time. She was born on September 25, 1928 the daughter of Oscar and Frances Swanson. Mary Jo married Gerald Dewitt Sparks October 18, 1947. She worked for many years as an Administrative Assistant for Mutual of New York. She lived in Dallas before moving to Temple five years ago. Mary Jo is survived by her children Nancy (Jerry) Flanigan of Temple and Stephen Sparks of San Antonio, 2 grandchildren Trey Sparks of Kansas City, MO and Kelly Lewis of Austin and a great-grandchild David Lewis.
