
May Bell (MaMaw) Ashcraft, 91, of Rogers, died Sunday in a local nursing home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 28, 2006 at 2:30 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Rogers with Pastor Billy Ray Crow and Rev. Garland Wallace officiating. Burial will follow at Bellwood Memorial Park. Visitation will be held Monday from 6-8 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Rogers. Mrs. Ashcraft was born June 28, 1914 in Lubbock, Texas to Ed and Maggie Stewman Hunter. She married T. E. Ashcraft, a truck driver, on October 31, 1929 in Lubbock, Texas. She was a Baptist and had lived in Rogers for 60 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, a daughter, Nila Young, a son, Bobby Joe Ashcraft, and three grandchildren. Survivors include two daughters, Darline Hughling and Dolores "chicken" Tate both of Rogers; one son, Hunter Ashcraft of Rogers; eleven grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren.
