

Mass of Christian Burial for Mollie Theresa Gregory, 83, of Temple will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at St. Luke Catholic Church with Father Walter Matus officiating. Burial will be at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, Texas at 1:00 p.m. Visitation will be Monday, November 12, 2012 from 6-8 p.m. with a Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. Mollie died Wednesday, November 7, 2012 in a Temple Hospital. Mollie was born in Biloxi, MS to Peter Joseph and Mollie Gill on October 5, 1929. She was the 10th of 11 children. She attended Biloxi Schools graduating in 1947. She married Donald L. Gregory December 22, 1950 and was proud to follow him wherever the Army sent him. They lived in Jackson, MS, Fort Bragg, NC, Stuttgart, Germany, Heidelberg, Germany and San Antonio Texas. They moved to Temple, Texas in 1974 where she became active at St. Luke Catholic Church and with Scott & White's Yellowbirds where she was one of the volunteer buyers for the original Sunshine Gift Shop. She later worked at The Monogram Shop. Mollie loved cooking and was well-known for her Divinity that was given freely every Christmas to friends and family. She also baked a lemon pound cake that she was proud to teach many of her grandchildren the recipe and was always excited when they entered it into the Bell County Youth Fair. She also enjoyed playing cards and dice games with family and friends. She lived for her kids and especially her grandkids. She didn't miss a sporting event or any other school event in which they were involved. She was never shy telling all she came in contact with about her family. Once asked what her occupation was, she said "Mother". Survivors include her husband Don Gregory of Temple, Texas; two sons Don, Jr. and his wife Ruth of Cedar Park, Texas and Gil and his wife Elizabeth of Troy, Texas; two daughters Wanda Gregory of Englewood, NJ and Christy Gregory of Temple, Texas. She was also the proud Grandma of Sam Koonce of Cedar Park, Texas, Matthew Gregory and his wife Janis of Norfolk, VA, Dan Gregory and his wife Mandy of Leander, Texas, and Justin, Jordan and Jarrett Gregory of Troy, Texas. She is also survived by one sister, Laura Meaut of Ocean Springs, MS, one sister-in-law, who considered her a sister, Selma Gregory Rollins of Greer, SC and numerous nieces, nephews and wonderful friends around the country.
