

Mozelle McDonald, age 93 of Moffat, went to her eternal home in glory, Monday evening, July 9, 2018 at Scott and White Medical Center, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Funeral services will be held at 10:00am Saturday, July 14, 2018 at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home with Rev. Carl Love officiating. Burial will follow at Moffat Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6-8:00pm Friday, July 13, 2018 at the funeral home.
Mozelle retired from nutritional service in Killeen ISD. She loved fishing, gardening and was a member of First Baptist Church of Moffat. She was born on June 18, 1925 in Groesbeck, Texas to the late Jesse James and Verna Brown Andrews. On October 9, 1942, she was united in marriage to Preston McDonald. Mozelle was preceded in death by her husband, Preston McDonald; a son, James McDonald; a great grandson, Hunter Matus and 14 brothers and sisters.
Survivors include her children, Gail Hilliard of Moffat, Donna Aregood and husband Wayne of Moffat and Tracey Castilow and Nick Carlson of Waco as well as David Castilow of Waco; sisters, Janie Jackson of China Spring and Ruby Lee Baker of Ft. Worth; grandchildren, Laurie Hilliard, Cristy Mynar and husband Bennie, Corey Jensen, Courtney Guehler and husband Jason, Sam Aregood, Lane Aregood, Mandy Matus and husband Keith, Lisa Marinez and husband Rey and Jennifer Norris and husband Cedric; also, Memaw to Dustin Mebane and Amber Betak; and ten great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Corey Jensen, Sam Aregood, Lane Aregood, Bennie Mynar, Keith Matus and Jason Guehler.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in Mrs. McDonald’s name to the Moffat Volunteer Fire Department, 5660 Lakeaire Blvd, Temple, TX 76502.
