

Funeral services for Myrtle Louise Tompkins Robbins fondly remembered as Mrs. T will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Koinm and Dr. Tom Henderson officiating. Burial will be in North Belton Cemetery. Mrs. Robbins died Saturday at her residence. Mrs. Robbins was born in Columbia Co, Arkansas Dec. 4, 1927 to Charley Milton Higgs and Sallie Ann Rogers Higgs. She graduated from High School in Arkansas in 1945. She moved to Belton in 1960. She married Leskie Newton Tompkins Dec. 3, 1945. He preceded her in death in 1991. She married Woodrow Wilson "Chief" Robbins April 15, 1995. He preceded her in death January 6, 2008. She operated the River Forest Smorgasbord in Belton. After closing the restaurant in 1990 she worked as a hostess for Olive Garden. She was a member of Texas Restaurant Association and was named Restaurateur of the Year in 1982. She had been a member of Miller Heights Baptist Church in Belton and was currently a member of Heights Baptist Church in Temple and was a member of a member of the Senior Bowling League at Action World Bowl. Mrs. Robbins was preceded in death by three sons Gary Tompkins, Kenny Tompkins and David Tompkins. Mrs. Robbins was a very giving and positive person who was loved by many people. She was a strong Christian lady and a wonderful mother and grandmother. Survivors include two sons Wayne Newton Tompkins of Holland and Thomas Allen Tompkins of Elkins, West Virginia; daughter-in-law Diane Tompkins of Temple; eight grandchildren Teresa Tompkins of Little River-Academy. Clint Tompkins of Deer Park, Shannon Tompkins Montgomery of Temple, Stace Tompkins Siefert of Waco, Ryan Tompkins of Brenham, Leskie Tompkins of Elkins, West Virginia. Terry Joe Tompkins of Elkins, West Virginia and Kimberly Tomkins of Elkins, West Virginia and sixteen great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Heights Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home.
