
OBITUARY Nelson "Dutch" Henze, 82, of Temple died Monday January 29, 2007 at a local hospital. Services for Mr. Henze will be at 1:00 PM Thursday February 1, 2007 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Temple with Rev. Alan Struckmeyer officiating. Burial will be at 1:00 PM Friday at Woodlawn Cemetery in Houston with Marine Corps Honors. Mr. Henze was born in San Antonio, Texas the son of Otto H. and Ida Able Henze. He served in the Marine Corps in the Pacific theatre during W.W. II from 1943-1946. He worked in the Automobile retail and wholesale business with American Motors, Toyota, and Subaru for 30 years. He was a member of V.F.W. Post 1820, and a long time member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Temple. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Audrey Henze of Temple, daughter Patricia Henze of Temple, two sons Steve and Rosalyn Henze of Houston, Glenn and Vicki Henze of Birmingham, Alabama, and grandchildren Kristin, Nathan, Lauren, Justin, and Jacob. A family visitation will be held from 5:30 until 7:30 PM Wednesday January 31, 2007 at the Scanio-Harper Funeral in Temple. The family requests that memorials be made to the Immanuel Lutheran Church or the Lutheran Hour Ministry. Scanio-Harper Funeral Home of Temple is in charge of arrangements.
