Norma Faye Patterson

Norma Faye Patterson, age 84, of Temple died Monday, March 12, 2012 in a local hospital. Services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, March 15, at Oak Park United Methodist Church with Rev. Johnny Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Bellwood Memorial Park. Visitation will be 6:00 - 7:00 PM Wednesday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home. Mrs. Patterson was born March 17, 1927 in San Augustine, Texas to Edgar Walter and Malinda Lee (Roberts) Wilson. She graduated from Huntsville High School in 1944. She then moved to Houston and graduated from Memorial School of Nursing in 1947 as a Registered Nurse. She married L. R. (Pat) Patterson on January 11, 1947. She has been a resident of Temple over 50 years. She was business manager and co-owner of Tem-Tex Solvents Corp. in Temple retiring in 1991. She was a member of Oak Park United Methodist Church and Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. She enjoyed reading, traveling, dancing and spending time with her family. Survivors include her husband of 65 years, L. R. (Pat) Patterson of Temple, one son, Doug Patterson of Sunnyvale, two daughters, Tricia Jones of Temple, Sandy Franz of Costa Rica, five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
