Omega Siler

Omega Siler, 88, of Temple died Thursday, May 22, 2008 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 31, 2008 at the Scanio-Harper Funeral Home with Rev. Bert DeBord officiating. Burial will follow at Bellwood Memorial Park. Visitation will be held 6-9 p.m. Friday, May 30, 2008 at the funeral home. Mrs. Siler was born October 4, 1919 to Wiley and Gladys Martin in Bell County, Texas. She was a graduate of Temple High School. She married Leo Arden Siler on August 6, 1942 he died May 1, 2003. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Temple for over 52 years. Mrs. Siler had worked in the day care center at Immanuel Baptist Church and had assisted her husband on their farm for many years. Survivors include two sons, Larry Wayne Siler and wife Nancy of Westmont, Illinois and Stanley Arden Siler and wife Gaye of Helotes, Texas; five grandchildren, Stacy Elizabeth Wooster, Steven Austin Siler, Stanley Arden Siler, Jr., Brandon James Siler, and Holli Elizabeth Siler; two great-grandchildren, Siler Rae Wooster and Alyssa Lynn Siler. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Kimberly Siler in 1982 and two brothers, Ray Martin and Jamie Martin. Pallbearers will be Steven Siler, Stanley Siler, Jr., Brandon Siler, Michael Martin, Bobby Martin, and Johnny Lynn Swain. Memorials may be made to Immanuel Baptist Church Day Care Center, 1401 W.
