Opal (Bobbie) Winkler, 77, of Temple died Friday in a Temple Living Center. Private services are planned for a later date. Mrs. Winkler was born February 8, 1936 in Lebanon, Missouri to Ven Price and Lola Looney Price. She moved to the Belton Temple area, from Dallas, 35 years ago. She married Adon Winkler June 8, 1977. She was a truck driver having owned her own truck and driving for Merrit Distribution. Survivors include her husband Adon Winkler of Temple; one son Mike Gillespie of Burleson; three daughters Debra Lynn Steimer of Tiger, Oregon, Teresa Gillespie of North Pole, Alaska and Cathy Short of Eagletown, Oklahoma; two brothers Bob Price of Fort Worth and Bill Price of Grants Pass, Oregon; two sisters Wanda Green and Carol Price both of Grants Pass, Oregon; nine grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. Scanio-Harper Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
