Pat Auten

Pat Auten, age 63 of Lott, died Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at a local hospital. An informal visitation will be held following the Sunday morning services at First Presbyterian Church of Belton. Mrs. Auten was born on February 26, 1949 in Vicksburg, MS to Robert Worley and Betty Davis Worley. She attended schools in Birmingham, AL, Tuscaloosa, AL, Stephenville, TX and graduated from high school in Columbus, MS. Mrs. Auten married Phil Auten, Jr. on June 20, 1970 in Vicksburg, MS. She worked for Dr. Richard Townsend in Richardson, TX and was a secretary for Dr. Bill Long at Kings Daughters Clinic in Temple. Mrs. Auten also volunteered her time at Kings Daughters Hospital for several years. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Worley. Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Phil Auten, Jr.; a son, Phil Auten, III of Atlanta, GA; her mother, Betty Worley of Temple; a sister, Penny Worley of Temple; a brother, Robin Worley and wife Vicki of Carrollton, TX and two grandchildren, Alyssa and Ashley Auten. Memorials may be given in Mrs. Auten's name to the American Cancer Society.
